Today's story is one I read a couple months back and TOTALLY forgot it was by Dan Santat. This story picks up after Humpty fell off the wall. Poor Guy!! Hopefully he will get put back together again!! Enjoy!! Today's selection is...Good morning South Side. I hope you enjoyed our story yesterday about imaginary friends. I watch my kids play and talk to imaginary friends and I think everyone needs that partner when fighting off bad guys, or sailing on a the seven seas. I first learned about Dan when we had a book fair my first year and his book, THE ADVENTURES OF BEEKLE: THE UNIMAGINARY FRIEND, was at the fair. It was a great a story and all the kids loved it. Today's selection is...Who is Dan Santat?Just a little bit of information about this cool guy. He has been a Disney animator. He is a master at shanachie. He attened UC San Diego and earned a microbiology degree. Happy Friday South Siders!! I hope you enjoyed the triple feature yesterday with Knuffle Bunny. Sadly, our time with Mo is coming to an end, but DO NOT WORRY we have a new author/illustrator for next week. In fact, lets see if you notice something about our story today!! I think this week I will give you a little information about Mo each day and his author interview on Friday. About Mo WillemsThis is Mo Willems. He was born in New Orleans. After college, he traveled around the world to 30 different countries with only ONE change of clothes! Next, we worked on a show called Sesame Street. He earned his first Caldecott Honor Award in 2004 for "Don't Let Pigeon Drive the Bus!". Today's selection is...Good Morning all you new farmers :) Hopefully enjoyed funny farm yesterday. Today we will be adding another Mark Teague story. This week as been a challenge because we do not have ANY Teague books here at my house. Thank goodness for YouTube.
